Being the son of Naval Tata,
Ratan Tata actually isn't an immediate descendant of the Tata family. He has
been adopted from an orphanage known as the J.N. Petit Parsi Orphanage by his
grandmother Navajbai Tata. Both his father and mother, Naval and Sonoo got
separated within the year 1948. Back then, Ratan Tata was just ten years and
his younger brother Jimmy was seven. Both the brothers were looked after and
raised by the grandmother. Ratan Tata has a step-brother too. He is the primary
son of his father Naval and stepmother Simone Tata. His mother tongue is
Gujarati. Speaking of his school life, Ratan Tata visited the varsity in Mumbai
and Shimla, in Cathedral and John Connon School and Bishop Cotton School
respectively. He did his graduation from the Riverdale Country School within
the year 1955. In 1962, he got a B. Arch degree in architecture with structural

Ratan Tata’s life journey began
at the Tata Group within the year 1961. He began a bit like the other
shopkeeper, on a mercantile establishment of Tata Steel. The shop sold all
factory items. In fact, behind the shop was an enormous factory that shoveled
limestone and handled blast furnaces. During the 70s, he was given the charge
of companies like Nelco and Empress Mills. So, you'll say that Ratan Tata’s
success story began even as the other worker within the Tata group. The year
1991 was a turning point within the personal lifetime of Ratan Tata. In the
year of 1991, J.R.D Tata retired from the chairmanship of the corporate Tata
Sons and took the name of Ratan Tata to be his successor to the throne. When

They could not accept that incontrovertible fact that a young boy like Ratan
Tata will dominate them and be their boss. Ratan Tata took a step here. He
setup an age of retirement and commenced replacing them. He asked all the
workers to contribute something or the opposite to create the group of Tata and
take it to a special level. Ratan Tata’s success story continued successfully
for 21 years by being the chairman of Tata Group. During this period, the
company revenue grew several times, and earned a profit of more than 50 times.
He made Tata Tea acquire the Tetley, Tata Motors acquire the Jaguar Land Rover
and Tata Steel to urge Corus. All these factors turned Tata Group to a
worldwide business. A major creation of the Tata Group and a neighborhood of
Ratan Tata’s true success story is that the conceptualization of the Tata Nano
car. In an interview for the Creating Emerging Markets within the Harvard
graduate school , he said that “the developing of the Tata Nano was
significant. This is because it helped people to avail cars at a very low
price. Further, it had been accessible of the middle-class consumers.” However,
Ratan Tata’s success story ended as soon as he reached the age of 75. He
resigned from the chief body of Tata Group and appointed his successor as Cyrus

good stake within the smartphone Chinese startup company Xiaomi. In the month
of October 2015, he started a partnership with the American Express. Next, in
2016, he further put his share in Nestaway.
